No fine print about your data: we explain what we need for your eSIM, payment, delivery and support.
HolySim sells eSIM data bundles through this website. HolySim is a trade name of Electrorent B.V., Schipholweg 103, 2316 XC Leiden, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 99573970, VAT number NL869045519B01. Electrorent B.V. is the controller for the processing of personal data described in this privacy policy.
This privacy policy explains which personal data we collect, what we use it for and which rights you have. For privacy questions, you can reach us at support@holysim.nl.

For an eSIM order, we only ask for the data needed to deliver your order and provide support. In checkout, that is your email address and your country of residence. For some bundles, a phone number is technically required to activate the eSIM; only then do we ask for it.
We also keep the details of your order itself: order number, the chosen bundle, the amount, your language preference and the moment you accepted the terms.
We use your email address to send your eSIM with installation instructions, to send you necessary order updates and to help you when you contact support. We do not use your email address for marketing without your separate consent, and we never sell your data to third parties.
Payments are handled by our payment provider Mollie. Your payment details are processed directly by Mollie; HolySim does not store full card or account details. Mollie's processing is governed by Mollie's own privacy policy.
We send your eSIM and installation instructions by email. For this we use an email delivery service (Resend), which processes your email address to deliver the message.
To create your eSIM, we share your order details with our eSIM supplier. Where technically required to deliver the eSIM profile, this includes your email address. Our suppliers may only use this data to deliver your eSIM.
On your first visit, we ask for consent via a cookie banner. We distinguish four categories: necessary (required for the site to work), analytics, marketing and preferences. Without your consent, we do not set analytics or marketing cookies and we do not load measurement scripts.
Your choice is stored on your own device and remains valid for up to 12 months. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website.
With your consent for analytics cookies, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. These scripts are only loaded after you have given consent. We use Google Consent Mode v2, with all signals set to 'denied' by default until you choose otherwise.
With Google Analytics we measure, among other things: which pages you view, what you search for (such as a destination), which data bundles you view and select, the steps in checkout (including errors and cancelled payments) and completed orders. For an order, we include the order number, the amount and the chosen bundle. We never send your name, email address or phone number to Google.
Google Analytics sets cookies for this (such as _ga) that recognise your browser on a next visit. Ad personalisation is off unless you also consent to marketing cookies.
If you accept analytics cookies and arrive on our website via an ad or campaign link, we store the campaign parameters from that link (UTM parameters and the Google Ads click ID) during your visit. When you place an order, we save these parameters together with the anonymous Google Analytics client ID alongside your order. After a successful payment, our server sends a purchase confirmation to Google Analytics with the order number, the amount and the bundle, so we know which campaigns lead to orders. Here too, we share no name, email address or phone number.
If you reach our website through a partner link (for example from a travel blog) or use a partner discount code, we set a partner cookie that is valid for up to 60 days. It only contains an encrypted reference to the partner and the click, no personal data. When you order, we record which partner referred you so that we can pay that partner a fee and you can receive any partner discount. This cookie is necessary to perform our agreement with the partner and is therefore a necessary cookie; it is not used for advertising or to track you across other websites. After an order via a partner we keep a hashed version of your email address for up to 12 months so that repeat orders can be attributed to the same partner. Partners never see your name, email address or order details.
We keep your order data for as long as needed for delivery and support, and after that for as long as legal (tax) retention obligations require. Your cookie preference stays on your device for up to 12 months, after which we ask for consent again.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can also object to processing, have processing restricted and have your data transferred. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings. Email us at support@holysim.nl to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
