Galaxy S20 and newer, Z Fold / Flip, recent A series
On most Galaxy models the eSIM works alongside your regular SIM. Note 20 supports eSIM as well.
Pixel 3 and newer (non-Japan models)
Pixel devices bought in Japan don't support eSIM. European versions do.
Selected Motorola, Huawei, Sony, OnePlus

Email supportYes. You only use the eSIM for mobile data. Your regular SIM stays active for calls, texts and WhatsApp.
A SIM lock means your device only works with one provider's SIM card. Most newer phones sold in Europe are unlocked, but older contract phones may still be locked.
